About HBTU, Kanpur
Harcourt Butler Technical University (Formerly Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur) has always been a paragon and a source of inspiration in the field of science and technology since the year 1921. Now, as per Act No. 11 of 2016 by the government of Uttar Pradesh it is upgraded to university, i.e, Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur (HBTU, Kanpur). About Department
The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in 1964. The Department runs Bachelor of Technology Programme in Electrical Engineering, M-Tech. Programme in Power Electronics & Control and Part-Time and Regular Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programme. The Department is accredited by NBA and keeps on holding various training programmes.

IEEE Power Electronics Society Student Branch Chapter & Department of Electrical Engineering, Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur is organizing a Short-Term Course on “Electrical Circuit Simulation Using MATLAB: Basic to Advance” from 29.05.2025 to 04.06.2025. The course is open to the faculty, research scholars and UG/PG Students from Engineering colleges/Universities. Only limited seats are available in this course.
Objective of the Course
This intensive short-term course serves as a comprehensive introduction to Matlab simulation and Simulink, specifically tailored for aspiring electrical engineering students. Through a meticulously curated curriculum, participants will delve into the intricacies of utilizing these industry-standard software tools to model, simulate, and analyze complex electrical systems and circuits.
