The IEEE Student Branch HBTU Kanpur has achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the Second Position in the Outstanding Branch Membership Growth/Retention Award at the IEEE UP Section Annual General Meeting 2025. The event was held on February 1, 2026, at Hotel DNG.

This accomplishment reflects the consistent efforts, dedication, and commitment of the entire team under the esteemed guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Sanjiv Kumar, who serves as the Counselor of the branch, along with being the Faculty Advisor for IEEE PELS SBC and IEEE WIE SBA at HBTU Kanpur.

Mr. Ashutosh Yadav, Chair of IEEE PELS SBC HBTU-Kanpur, was honored with the Outstanding Section Volunteer Award (Student – Male) at the IEEE UP Section Annual General Meeting 2025, held on February 1, 2026, at Hotel DNG.

This prestigious award recognizes exceptional student volunteers who demonstrate outstanding leadership, dedication, and impactful contributions to IEEE activities.

This achievement was made possible under the constant guidance and mentorship of Prof. (Dr.) Sanjiv Kumar, Counselor IEEE STB HBTU-K, Faculty Advisor IEEE PELS SBC HBTU-K, and IEEE WIE SBA HBTU-K, whose support has been instrumental in nurturing leadership and encouraging excellence within the branch.

Prof. (Dr.) Sanjiv Kumar, Counselor of the IEEE Student Branch HBTU Kanpur and Faculty Advisor of IEEE PELS SBC HBTU-K & IEEE WIE SBA HBTU-K, was honored with the prestigious Outstanding Branch Counselor/Chapter/Advisor Award for 2024–2025.
