This Student Branch falls under the IEEE-USA, Region 6, China Lake-Bakersfield section.
The goals of this branch is to provide students with leadership experiences, conferences, networking opportunities with professional engineers, and activities that will promote creativity and improve problem solving skills.
Since 2013, this student branch has been an active club and organization on the California State University of Bakersfield campus by creating projects and hosting workshops, meetings, and study sessions on the CSU campus. This branch also collaborates with other CSUB clubs and organizations. On and off campus, this branch also participates in various types of events, such as charity fundraisers, community outreach, and volunteer work. In order to fund for our yearly activities, we do fundraisers during the summer and throughout the academic year.

We even invite guest speakers that will fill our club members with new knowledge!
These are hands-on labs that are hosted by the IEEE Student Branch for all CSUB students and community members. These labs can range from using soldering irons to using microcomputers.
There are certain events IEEE has planned to take IEEE Members, such as Rising Stars Conference, power plant tours, and other IEEE funded trips.
We have regular events throughout the year to raise money for workshops, tours, and events this Student Branch will host. We also participate in volunteering events, such as helping out with the RowdyCon charity event and judging for the Vex Robotics Competitions.
We participate in various CSUB outreach events to talk face-to-face with the on and off campus community about what this Student Branch provides!
