The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) at the College of Engineering Thalassery was established in 2015 with the support of the Kerala Startup Mission. Since then, IEDC CETLY has grown into a vibrant ecosystem fostering innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among students.
It serves as a dynamic platform for aspiring innovators to transform ideas into impactful solutions by offering hands-on exposure, expert mentorship, and access to industry networks.
🚀 What We Do
Workshops & Events:
Organized over 100+ impactful events such as Hackatly (state and national hackathons), SkillUp, Dive into AI, Design Thinking Bootcamps, IEDC Challenge Week, and many more.
Skill Development & Mentorship:
Programs like the Full Stack Development Masterclass, YIP Clinics, and ITALK sessions provide technical expertise and industry insights through sessions led by professionals and domain experts.
Startup Incubation:
IEDC CETLY has supported the incubation of startups such as:
Imiot TechnoLabs LLP (AI & Ed-Tech)
VectorUX TechnoLabs LLP (Software)
Eightplanes Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (Robotics & Education)
Students benefit from our Technology Business Incubator (TBI) and IPR Cell, which offer guidance on product development, legal protection, and commercialization.
Industry Collaboration:
Signed an MoU with MiZone (Malabar Innovation Entrepreneurship Zone) to strengthen startup support and access to resources.
Innovation Highlights:
Certified the Pellet Stove, an energy-saving product by local entrepreneur Mr. Rejil K.V., and facilitated participation in prestigious platforms like IEDC Summit ‘23, Sahakiran Energy Ideathon, and inter-collegiate programs.
