Noboru Matsuda, Director
Dr. Noboru Matsuda is a Professor of Computer Science. His primary research interest is in an intersection of artificial intellicence and learning science. Dr. Matsuda has received his PhD in Intelligent Systems from University of Pittsburgh in 2004. He is a big fun of DIY with a particular interest in woodcrafted furniture.

Wanying joined IEC in Fall 2026. Her research interests lie at the intersection of psychometrics and cognitive psychology, with a focus on advancement of educational assessment and enhancement of learning outcomes.
Ansh Pethani, MS CSC
Ansh joined IEC in Fall 2025. His research interests are Data Analytics (EDA, pattern mining), LLMs, and GenAI. He is currently working on the SMART project.
Yash Dive, MS Thesis CSC
Yash joined IEC in the Summer 2026. His research interests lie in Machine Learning theory, Transformer Models and Neural Networks. I am currently working on Bioinformatics to help develop algorithms to understand cell-gene effects on diseases.
Yash Yogesh Dhavale, MS CSC
Yash joined IEC in Fall 2025 as a full-stack developer. Yash is a Software Engineer with 1.5 years of industry experience. Other Interests include Data Science and Full Stack Programming.
Shubham Vijay Tidke, MS CSC
Shubham joined IEC in Fall 2025 as a full-stack developer. He had worked as a software engineer for 3 years. He is passionate about distributed systems, agentic AI, and LLM engineering.
