The Android Market was introduced in 2008 as a platform enabling users to access and download applications and games designed for the emerging Android operating system. In 2009, the store incorporated the option for users to purchase apps in the United States and the United Kingdom, later extending this feature to additional global markets in 2010. During the same year, the Android Market introduced theGoogle eBookstore.
Our analysis primarily aims to extract practical insights that developers can act upon and seize opportunities within the Android Market
SUMMARY
Android stands as a leading mobile operating system, powering approximately 85% of all mobile devices. Google's Operating System (OS) dominates the market, and the Google Play Store stands out as the largest and most widely used app store for Android applications.
Our project aims to gather and analyze comprehensive data on apps available in the Google Play Store. The objective is to derive insights into app features and assess the current landscape of the Android app market.
We compiled detailed information on more than 3,100 apps spanning 34 diverse categories within the Google App Store. These categories include but are not limited to Art and Design, Games, Family, Beauty, and more.
