Lee, Won Sang

Professor

Won Sang Lee is an expert in the area of technology intelligence, specializing the diasocery of emerging innovations. He received a Ph. D. in Industrial Engineering from Yonsei University in 2016 (Thesis: Large scale triadic patent analysis for predicting technological convergence, identifying its spatial occurrence, and assessing the standardization policy). Prior to joining GWNU, he gained both field and research experiences at NHN Insightlab, SK Telecom, and Yonsei University (Information, ICT etc.), respectively. He taught data analytics and machine learnig to companies.

He published several articles in Journals such as Technovation, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, PLoS One, Computers and Security, and domestic journals. He also served as Reviewer for TFSC, RP, and more. His pioneering framework for identifying and predicting technology convergence has been being frequently cited by following researches. His current research interests include Technometrics and Infometrics. Major teaching areas are Machine/Deep Learning, Data Mining, and Data Analysis related courses. Areas of his current research interests include QML applicable to Data Analytics.
