Steering and Orientation committees
Orientation Committee
The Orientation Committee meets at least once a year (upon prior presentation of an agenda).
The role of the Orientation Committee includes the following:
Reviewing the activity report prepared by the Steering Committee and the annual evaluation report on the work of the Research Initiative provided by the Scientific Council of the Europlace Institute of Finance.
Validating proposals for future activities proposed by the Steering Committee and potentially adjusting the overall directions or orientations of the initiative.
Annually communicating to the stakeholders, within two months following the date of its last annual meeting, the activity report and its analysis on the functioning of the Research Initiative, as well as any defined orientations or strategic directions.
Chairing the Orientation Committee, typically by the representative of the Foundation or their appointed delegate.
Participating in the decision-making process regarding the annual budget of the Research Initiative by voting on budget proposals.
Steering Committee
The Steering Committee meets twice a year (upon prior presentation of an agenda).
The role of the Steering Committee includes the following:
Deciding on research actions and research valorization strategies.
Assessing the international dimension of the Research Initiative: invitations, conferences/seminars, scientific collaborations, etc.
Managing calls for projects on the general theme of the Research Initiative and selecting the projects to be pursued.
Making proposals for teaching and training.
Compiling a report on ongoing work and proposed new projects within the Research Initiative for each meeting of the Orientation Committee, and providing input before the publication of documents produced by the Research Initiative.
