Dimensional metrology is the science (and art) of providing reliable estimates on the geometry of a workpiece. This makes actual manufacturing results and failures observable, enabling progress to finer and more accurate workpieces. At the idML we strive to enable manufacturing at the nano-scale through creative innovations on (majorly) optical metrology and their required nano-positioning platforms.
