If you want long battery life, deep active noise cancellation for travel, and a durable build with a carrying case, choose iDiskk Hi-Res Audio Hybrid; if you need superior sound clarity with LDAC support, ultra-lightweight comfort for all-day wear, and extended playtime for work sessions, choose 1MORE Over Ear.
• iDiskk Hi-Res Audio Hybrid: Delivers a robust 45-hour battery life with an included carrying case, making it ideal for commuters and travelers who need reliability; however, it uses standard Bluetooth rather than the high-bandwidth LDAC codec found in premium models.
• 1MORE Over Ear: Features advanced LDAC audio technology and a lightweight design engineered by Grammy-winning engineers for studio-quality sound; its trade-off is a more complex feature set that might feel like overkill for casual listeners who just want simple music playback.
• Who is this for?: The iDiskk is perfect for those prioritizing endurance and portability, while the 1MORE is best for audiophiles and professionals seeking the highest fidelity and comfort during long listening sessions.
The iDiskk Hi-Res Audio Hybrid is built with a straightforward, no-nonsense philosophy that appeals to users who value utility above all else. Its most defining characteristic is the massive 45-hour average battery life, which is a game-changer for anyone who hates the anxiety of charging their headphones every day. Whether you are on a long-haul flight, commuting across the city, or simply working from home for weeks without a break, this device ensures your music never cuts out due to a dead battery. The inclusion of a carrying case alongside the foldable design means you can toss it into a bag without worrying about damage, a practical detail that often gets overlooked in favor of flashier features.
For elderly users or those who prefer a secure, stable fit without constant adjustment, the over-ear placement and plastic enclosure offer a solid, familiar structure. The active noise cancellation effectively blocks out ambient chatter, creating a quiet zone for focused listening or relaxation. The 3.5mm wired option provides a backup connection method if the wireless signal ever falters, adding another layer of reliability. However, the frequency range is capped at 20,000Hz, which is standard for most consumer electronics but lacks the extended high-frequency detail found in higher-end competitors. If you are looking for sports earbuds for elderly individuals who need something that stays put and lasts all day, this model offers a steady, dependable experience, though it may not satisfy the most critical audiophile ears.

You should skip this product if you are hunting for the absolute pinnacle of wireless audio resolution or if you find the weight of the plastic construction too heavy for extended wear. While it handles bass well and delivers clear mids, it does not utilize the advanced LDAC codec that allows for richer data transmission. This makes it an excellent choice for general entertainment, podcasts, and calls, but perhaps less ideal for someone who wants to hear every nuance of a classical recording as intended by the mastering engineer. It is a workhorse designed for function, not for pushing the boundaries of sonic perfection.
The 1MORE Over Ear headphones represent a different approach entirely, one that prioritizes sonic purity and ergonomic design for the discerning listener. At the heart of this product is the integration of LDAC technology, a Bluetooth codec that transmits three times more data than standard SBC connections. This means that when paired with a compatible smartphone, you get a level of detail and separation that feels significantly closer to a wired studio monitor. The 40mm diamond-like drivers push the frequency response up to 40,000Hz, capturing sounds that standard headphones simply cannot reproduce. For those who have spent years building a library of high-resolution files, this is the kind of equipment that finally lets you hear what they missed before.
Comfort is equally central to the 1MORE design philosophy. The manufacturer has engineered these headphones to be ultra-lightweight, utilizing soft protein leather cushions that reduce pressure on the head and ears. This is particularly important for elderly users or anyone prone to headaches after wearing heavy gear for an hour or two. The adjustable fit ensures a secure seal without squeezing, allowing for hours of uninterrupted use whether you are in a busy office or traveling on a train. The QuietMax Active Noise Cancellation system is rated to block over 45dB of external noise, providing a serene environment even in chaotic settings like airports or subways. Additionally, the AI-powered microphone technology ensures that your voice comes through clearly on calls, cutting through background noise effectively.
However, this level of performance comes with a specific set of requirements. You will need a source device that supports LDAC to fully unlock the potential of these headphones; otherwise, you are getting good, but not exceptional, sound. The 100-hour battery life is staggering, offering 65 hours even with ANC turned on, and a quick charge of just five minutes gives you ten extra hours of playtime. While this is a major selling point, the complexity of the features—dual Hi-Res certification, Grammy-tuned sound by Luca Bignardi, and advanced mic tech—might overwhelm a user who just wants a simple pair of headphones for background music. If you are looking for the best comfortable open ear headphones for elderly relatives who appreciate high-fidelity audio, this is a strong contender, provided they are willing to navigate a slightly more advanced setup.

After weighing the specifications and considering the real-world needs of buyers, I would personally buy the 1MORE Over Ear. The combination of LDAC support, the extended frequency response, and the lightweight, comfortable design makes it the superior choice for anyone who values sound quality and physical ease. While the iDiskk is a fantastic, reliable tool with a great battery life, the 1MORE delivers a more immersive and refined listening experience that justifies its existence. For elderly users or anyone spending significant time with headphones, the comfort and audio precision of the 1MORE are worth the investment, especially since the 100-hour battery life removes any stress about running out of power mid-session.
Both models are suitable, but the 1MORE Over Ear is likely better for those who prioritize comfort and clear audio, while the iDiskk offers a simpler interface for those who just need basic functionality and a long-lasting battery.
The 1MORE Over Ear boasts a massive 100-hour battery life compared to the iDiskk's 45 hours, making it the clear winner for extended trips where charging options are scarce.
Yes, to utilize the full potential of the LDAC codec and Hi-Res audio, you need a smartphone or media player that supports LDAC; otherwise, the sound will still be good but not at its maximum resolution.
