Electronic Circuits
This is the first Project. My aim was ro use a motor to make the spider buzz or vibrate. It unfortunately did not work. I got help from TAs as well but it still did not work.
Music Box
For this project, making the box was not so difficult. I used cardboard and colored paper for this. I would say the challenging part was coding the circuit playground. It took me a while to edit the code to be light sensitive, but in the end it worked. It plays the tune of twinkle twinkle little star when exposed to light
Welcome Bot
This project was very interesting. I unfortunately ended up cutting myself with the sanding machine, but I was ok. I was able to do the woodwork successfully and attach the parts with string.
Doorbell
My idea here was to create a doorbell for deaf people. When the doorbell is touched the light flickers. With this project, my circuit playground was giving a few errors. I was able to program it to respond to touch. And it worked, but when I added the alligator wires and copper tape, it was not working. I noticed that I had to hold the battery a certain way for it to work.
Velostat Carpet
This is the Velostat Carpet/Doormat. It is a form of alarm that triggers the lights when there’s an intrusion. The carpet is lined with velostat, and is connected to a lamp or light source. It is programmed to sense pressure when activated and flicker the lights. I decided to make it a light flickering alarm because most break-ins occur late at night, and I would not want an alarm loud enough to bother the whole neighborhood. The flickering light will alert residence of an intrusion, Neighbours will see the lights flicker, which may cause the thief to flee. The inspiration of the project came from a series of kidnappings that occurred in Nigeria by Boko Harram.

Code used
I would say this is my favorite project so far. I loved working with others and getting different perspectives on how to approach the project. Drawing and cutting out the shapes were also fun
This project was also very interesting. Programming the bot to display a certain emotion was really fun and I loved working with my teammates. We tried several emotions, we even displayed our initials on the EmoBot’s screen
