Privacy Policy for Ghost AI (IdeaZen)
Last updated: September 17, 2026
Ghost AI uses local storage together with online AI, speech, advertising and billing services. This policy describes what data is processed and the choices available to you.
1. About Ghost AI
Ghost AI: Voice Reminders, previously called IdeaZen, is provided by MoodGenius Labs. This policy covers the Android app com.ideazen.app and explains the data handled by its notes, reminders, voice assistant, advertising and subscription features.
2. Accounts and local storage
You do not need to create a Ghost account. Notes, reminder schedules, preferences and subscription status are stored on your device. The app creates a random installation identifier and can send it to Google Play when you purchase Premium. Local storage does not mean that all processing stays on your device: the services described below receive data needed for their functions.
3. Notes and AI processing
When you use AI features, note text, questions, voice transcripts and relevant context, such as existing notes, categories, language and date/time information, are sent over HTTPS to OpenRouter and the model provider selected through its routing service. These services generate note details, translations, answers and reminder instructions.
OpenRouter and its model providers process data under their own privacy terms. Retention and possible use for model improvement vary by provider and settings. Ghost does not guarantee zero retention or that every model provider deletes content immediately after responding. Do not include information that you do not want processed by these providers.

4. Optional voice input and notification access
Voice input requires microphone permission and uses the speech recognition service available on your Android device. Depending on that service, audio may be processed on remote servers to produce a transcript. Ghost uses the transcript to process your request; it does not maintain its own archive of microphone recordings. You can use typed input and disable microphone access in Android settings.
If you enable notification access and ask the voice assistant about your notifications, Ghost reads notification details such as the source app, title, sender, text and time. These details may include previews of email, SMS/MMS or chat messages. Relevant app names and notification text can be included in AI conversation context sent to OpenRouter and its model providers to support follow-up requests. Ghost does not need to open your email or messaging account to read those previews. Notification access is optional and can be revoked in Android settings.
Reminder notifications and audible alarms require the applicable Android permissions. Voice output uses the device's text-to-speech service, whose processing depends on the selected engine and settings.
5. Advertising and diagnostics
Ghost uses Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial ads. Google Mobile Ads may automatically collect and share device or other identifiers, including advertising and app-set identifiers; IP addresses that may be used to infer approximate location; interactions with the app and ads; and crash and diagnostic information. These data support advertising, measurement and analytics, and fraud prevention and security. Approximate location may be inferred from an IP address without GPS access.
Google and its advertising partners handle advertising data under their applicable privacy policies. The app uses local preferences and SDK identifiers; it is not accurate to describe it as having no identifiers or third-party data collection. Premium removes displayed ads, but does not erase data previously processed by advertising services.

6. Optional Premium purchases
Google Play processes subscriptions and payment information. Ghost receives purchase and subscription information needed to verify Premium access and finish transactions. An installation-scoped identifier may be provided during purchase. Ghost does not receive your full payment card details. Manage or cancel your subscription through Google Play; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
7. Security, retention and deletion
The app's AI connections use HTTPS, and Google Mobile Ads encrypts its data in transit. No system can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and use its security controls.
You can delete individual notes in Ghost and remove local app data through Android settings. This does not automatically delete information already processed by OpenRouter, model providers, speech services, Google Play or advertising services. Their retention and deletion practices are governed by their policies and available account or privacy controls. Ghost currently has no in-app process that guarantees deletion of all copies held by those providers, and does not promise automatic deletion within 90 days.
8. Children's privacy
Ghost is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us using the address below.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app's features or data practices change. The date above identifies the latest update.
