How does tagging work? Select a photo or take a new photo. Use Pick Photo to load that image. Next, you can tap on any face or area in a photo then add text to name that tag. This helps you organize memories by person and makes it easier to search for specific family members or friends later.
How do I record a story for my photo? Open any photo in your gallery, tap the Microphone icon, and start speaking. The app will sync your voice with the image to create a video file. Once finished, tap "Save" to export the video to your local library.
IdeasLab does not collect any data from this app.
Where are my audio stories and videos stored? Everything stays on your device. Your audio recordings and generated memory videos are saved locally to your iPhone or iPad. We do not have access to your recordings, and we do not host them on our servers.
Does the app use Facial Recognition? No. The tagging feature is manual. You decide who is in the photo and what names to assign. We do not use biometric scanning or cloud-based facial databases.
What happens if I delete a photo from my phone? If you have already generated and saved a "Memory Video," that video will remain in your library. However, if you delete the original photo from your device before tagging or recording, it will no longer be available in the app.
The app isn't picking up my voice. What should I do?
Go to your device Settings > Apps.
Scroll down to Photographic Memories.
Ensure the Microphone toggle is turned ON.
Can I share my stories with family? Yes! Once a story is recorded and saved as a video, you can share it just like any other picture or video via Messages, Email, or AirDrop using the standard iOS sharing options.
