iDEA Lab Clusters & Clouds
iDEA Lab is equipped with three clusters on top of each one a Hadoop-based cloud is set. Therefore, overall, iDEA Lab is equipped with three Hadoop-based clouds.
The first cluster, named as iDEA Lab Cluster 1, is composed by two physical nodes Dell PowerEdge R440, each one equipped with Intel Xeon Gold 5120 24-core CPU at 2.20GHz, 256GB RAM and two data storages: NetApp 2750 and NetApp 2720, composing a 14TB data storage space in total. Here, the VMware virtualization software manages the cluster. On top of iDEA Lab Cluster 1, the Hadoop-based cloud iDEA Lab Cloud 1 is set. iDEA Lab Cloud 1 is composed by 21 VMs equipped with Windows 2019 Server Essentials OS, 8-Core CPU at 2.20GHz, 32GB RAM and 60GB HDD.
The second cluster, named as iDEA Lab Cluster 2, is composed by two physical nodes Dell PowerEdge R7515, each one equipped with AMD Epyc 7443P 24-core CPU at 2.85GHz, 64GB RAM and two 480GB SSDs. Here, the Proxmox virtualization software manages the cluster. On top of iDEA Lab Cluster 2, the Hadoop-based cloud iDEA Lab Cloud 2 is set. iDEA Lab Cloud 2 is composed by 14 VMs equipped with Ubuntu Server 22.04 OS, 16-Core CPU at 2.85GHz, 32GB RAM and 60GB HDD.
The third cluster, named as iDEA Lab Cluster 3, is composed by one physical node Huawei 2288H V5 equipped with two Intel Xeon Gold 5218 16-core CPU at 2.30GHz, 512GB RAM and one data storage with 49TB SSD. Here, the Sangfor HCI virtualization software manages the cluster. On top of iDEA Lab Cluster 3, the Hadoop-based cloud iDEA Lab Cloud 3 is set. iDEA Lab Cloud 3 is composed by 7 VMs equipped with Windows 2022 Server Datacenter OS, 8-Core CPU at 2.30GHz, 4GB RAM and 100GB HDD.
