Misha's Idaho Art from the Heart 

Michele Chmielewski has been a Teaching Artist for over two decades. She also has been studying healing arts for over 30 years. Her journey as an artist, healer, and an art educator, has been an intense learning experience and a personally challenging adventure. Her artwork reflects this path and potential for continual metamorphosis. 

Michele’s art is a reflection of the spiritual healing world and being grounded on this planet. Color, texture, and vibration are important in her work.  She enjoys working in acrylics, mixed media, collage, photography, and enamels. Michele is drawn to intense color and textured layered surfaces. She works very intuitively and on a vibrational level.  The artist hopes that her art will find its caretaker by resonating with them on a higher level and bringing to the viewer a daily reminder of their infinite beauty and their connection to ALL things.

Michele has also been heavily involved in her professional associations serving on the executive board of the Idaho Art Education Association for over nine years in four different positions.  Ms. Chmielewski recently served on the National Art Education Association executive board as the Pacific Region Vice President. She is inspired to help leaders in the Pacific region advocate for arts education. Michele is also a 2020 recipient of the Governor’s Award in the Arts for Support of Arts Education. Fine and Performing Arts are and have always been her passion as she delights in perpetual involvement in theater, voice performance, and the fine arts.
