Free write about a time that you've been engaged in new learning recently. What were you learning? What conditions of the learning environment led to your engagement? How did you know you were engaged? How would others know your were engaged? Share you engaged learning story with a colleague or friend. Discuss what it means to be engaged in learning. How does this experience translate to your classroom?
Draw a picture or create a computer graphic about student engagement. What does student engagement look like? Share your picture on social media and invite others to consider what student engagement looks like.
