We hope to see you at our regional scholastic events, where learning how to play tournament chess is the goal.

Here is a printable scoresheet for use in the K-3 section.

For the State Scholastic Championship:

• Must record on the provided score sheets (all grades).

• Must Pre-register for the State Championship.

The State Scholastic Championship has three US Chess-rated sections:  K-3rd grade, 4-5th grade, 6-8th grade, and 9-12th grade. 

• Team Competition: each section features a team competition in which the top four members of the same school consist of a team.  Home schoolers can compete for team prize in public school they would register for.  There is a minimum of 2 players per team.  

• Winners of each section will be our representatives for Idaho at the National Denker, Rockefellers, Barber, and Ashley Tournament of Champions. 

• Each grade winner will be declared a grade-level champion.

• The top three in each section shall be declared 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in their respective sections.

• Additionally, the top three (and ties) in each section will be invited to play in the Idaho Tournament of Champions, where the winner will be the Idaho State Scholastic Champion.
