For the State Scholastic Championship:
Must record on the provided score sheets (all grades).
Must Pre-register for the State Championship.
The State Scholastic Championship has three US Chess-rated sections: K-3rd grade, 4-5th grade, 6-8th grade, and 9-12th grade.
Team Competition: each section features a team competition in which the top four members of the same school consist of a team. Home schoolers can compete for team prize in public school they would register for. There is a minimum of 2 players per team.
Winners of each section will be our representatives for Idaho at the National Denker, Rockefellers, Barber, and Ashley Tournament of Champions.
Each grade winner will be declared a grade-level champion.
The top three in each section shall be declared 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in their respective sections.
Additionally, the top three (and ties) in each section will be invited to play in the Idaho Tournament of Champions, where the winner will be the Idaho State Scholastic Champion.
