Use this activity to teach kids how things are related when it comes to salmon. when you come to the hybrid workshop I will have cards copied for you to take home. :) We will do a quick version of the activity while we are together.
This is an activity we will do in July at the Nature Center. :)
Use this Trout in the Classroom activity to learn about what makes a healthy habitat for fish. We will be doing this activity at the Nature Center during our in-person time. :)
Kids (or Class) in the Creek or Teachers in the Tributary are excellent ways to learn about aquatic insects and get outside and wade! Test the water quality! We will do this at the Nature Center in July. The link below is valuable for more information.
Label Idaho rivers and make note of where are anadromous fish can be found.
Two versions (one for older grades and one for younger) of Fashion a Fish. The older students' version is great for teaching adaptations! Sometimes we don't think about adaptations in fish, but we need to! Please complete the Padlet with a drawing of your fish! For this activity we are using the older kids' version, the one on top on the right.
You will be able to see a demo of this at in-person training. :) Also, check out the Salmon trunk for information about habitats!
