SageMath (in short Sage) is a free and open source Computer Algebra System (CAS). It is one of the leading and comprehensive open source mathematical softwares which is distributed under open-source license (GPL Version 3). It can cover almost all areas of mathematics, with varying levels of sophistication. It has all the built-in objects and functions for expressing mathematical concepts and calculations. SageMath is an ideal open source tool for teaching and research in Mathematics. The mission statement of SageMath is to create a viable, free and open source alternative to Magma, Maple, Mathematica and MatLab. Dr. Ajit Kumar is a faculty in the Department of Mathematics, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai (INDIA). He has rich experiences of using Mathematical software and has conducted numerous training programmes.
