Drukjegang Central School
Drukjegang Central School is one of the most picturesque schools, located atop a scenic hill in Drukjegang, Dagana. Just across the Punatshang Chhu, Tsirang and Damphu town are clearly visible from the campus, offering a breathtaking view that adds to the school's charm. Established in 1962 as a private institution, the school was later nationalized and now serves students from Classes 7 to 12. With learners from diverse cultural backgrounds across the country, the school fosters a rich and inclusive learning environment. The classrooms are well-furnished with modern facilities, including projectors in all rooms and television screens in several, enabling interactive and technology-driven teaching.
As one of the Bhutan Baccalaureate (BB) Schools in the country, Drukjegang Central School emphasizes the holistic development of every child through the five essential Areas of Development: Cerebral, Emotional, Social, Spiritual, and Physical. The school actively organizes a wide range of activities—from sports, games, and visual arts to literary events and leadership forums—to nurture the unique potential of each learner. With a strong commitment to the BB philosophy, the school not only imparts academic excellence but also empowers students to become compassionate, responsible, and well-rounded individuals ready to contribute meaningfully to their communities.
