Prof. Dr. Chong Kok-Keong received B.Sc. (Hons) 1st class degree from University of Malaya in 1998 and Ph.D. (Optical Engineering) degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2002. He is also Fulbright visiting scholar in Princeton University, USA in 2015. Currently, he is Senior professor in Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. For research experience, he has been working in the field of solar energy engineering for more than 25 years and his research interest including emerging solar cell technologies, concentrating solar power, nanomaterials, and green technologies. For publication, he has published more than 130 articles in high impact journals including Nature, which has made him in Stanford University’s list of top 2% rank worldwide. Up to today, he has been principal investigator for ten external grants with total amount of RM 7 million including multi-disciplinary research fund. For consultancy work, he has completed more than 32 consultancy projects, including principal consultant for State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) China and Ecosys Group Sdn Bhd etc. For recognition, he has been honoured to receive Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM) 2018, Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) Science & Technology Award 2017, JCI Ten Young Outstanding Malaysian (TOYM) Award 2013, Fulbright Award, Chinese Academy of Sciences President’s International Fellowship Initiative, Gold Award in PECIPTA’17, as well as UTAR Research Excellence and UTAR Innovation Excellence 2012 & 2014. To date, he has been elected as Fellow of Academy of Science Malaysia 2019, Fellow of ASEAN Academy of Engineering & Technology (AAET) 2018, Global Young Academy 2014, Young Affiliate of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) 2011, Young Scientist Network Malaysia 2012, and Honorary Treasury of Fulbright Alumni Association Malaysia. For editorial services, he is Associate Editor of Frontiers in Energy Research and International Journal of Photoenergy (Hindawi).

Professor Ir. Dr. Hazlee Azil Illias is a leading expert in high voltage engineering and electrical insulation diagnostics, currently serving as Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Malaya. He obtained his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southampton, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree from Universiti Malaya. A Chartered Engineer (UK), Professional Engineer (Malaysia), Fellow of the IET, and Senior Member of IEEE. He has authored over 70 ISI-indexed journal papers and secured nearly RM 3 million in research grants. Professor Illias is recognized for his work in partial discharge phenomena, condition monitoring, lightning overvoltage, and AI-based diagnostics in power systems. He is the Director of the Corporate Ranking Centre at Universiti Malaya and has held numerous key roles, including Head of the High Voltage Lab and Research Group, Associate Editor of IET Science Measurement and Technology, and past Head of Department. He has successfully supervised over 45 postgraduate theses, contributed extensively to institutional development, and received multiple awards for teaching excellence and research, including recognition as one of Stanford’s Top 2% Scientists globally. His interdisciplinary research impact, leadership, and active involvement with IEEE and IET reflect his commitment to advancing electrical engineering both academically and professionally.

Dr. Khalina Abdan is a Professional Engineer (Malaysia) and Fellow of the Academy of Science Malaysia, renowned for her transformative contributions to engineering and sustainable materials. Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Yap Tze Chuen is a Chartered Engineer (UK), Professional Engineer (Malaysia), and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK), currently serving as Associate Professor at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia. With a PhD in Engineering from Multimedia University and over two decades of academic and professional experience, he has held key leadership roles in research, academic quality, and teaching. His research focuses on dry wear and friction, additive manufacturing, and sustainable technology, with over RM 900,000 in funded projects and numerous publications indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. Dr. Yap is actively involved in postgraduate supervision and serves as a thesis examiner and editorial board member for several international journals. He also contributes to professional development through roles with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK) and the Engineering Accreditation Council Malaysia.
