Call for Papers

We invite 2-4 page extended abstracts and position papers from researchers describing perceived bottlenecks, proposed directions of study, or problem definitions and requirements for effective integration of advanced collaborative systems. The primary aim of the workshop is to bring together technologists from both industry and academia, and as such, previously published work is welcome. Longer format submissions for previously published work are allowed, but please contact the organizers if you are considering this submission option. All accepted submissions will be made available on the workshop website as non-archival reports so that submissions to future conferences and journals will be possible. Selected submissions will be invited to contribute to an archival report that we intend to publish on the topic.

Primary areas of interest include (but are not limited to):

  • Perceived bottlenecks in the use of collaborative robots in industry

  • Perceived bottlenecks in the transfer of academic research to industry sectors.

  • Proposed directions of study for effective integration of advanced collaborative systems

  • Problem definitions and requirements for effective integration of advanced collaborative systems.

Submission and Review Process:

Submissions will be reviewed by experts of their respective field. The accepted papers will be made available on this workshop website but will not appear in the official IEEE conference proceedings.

The review process will be single-blind, meaning the submitted paper does not need to be anonymized.

Papers can be submitted through Microsoft CMT: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ICRACORWOTF2022

Application and Impact Statements: Accepted papers will be hosted on the workshop website, and a subset of submissions will be selected for spotlight presentations (in the form of a position paper soapbox). For presentations, we will ask accepted papers to include an application statement stating the potential social and ethical impacts of the use of the technologies discussed within industry. We will provide materials to guide the crafting of application and impact statements for accepted papers and presentations.
