Robustness in robot manipulation: How do we scale to 99.xxx%?

Full day workshop, June 4th, 2020

Paris, France

Submission deadline: April 10

We invite contributions on topics including but not limited to:

  • Learning from demonstration, how can we mimic human adaptability and robustness in manipulation tasks in robots?
  • Reinforcement learning for manipulation.
  • Online motion planning for manipulation.
  • Reactive and sensor driven control.
  • Trajectory generation.
  • Sensor-driven manipulation in unconventional applications.
  • Assembly and physical interaction control.
  • Out-of-lab applications of state of the art manipulation research.
  • Tools and algorithms for achieving 99.xxx robustness.
  • Reliability in unstructured environments.
  • Robust and reliable learned behaviors.
  • The role of multimodal perception for robust manipulation.

We especially encourage authors to emphasize the robustness and reliability aspects of their work. Submissions should be in the form of extended abstracts, with a maximum length of 4 pages, using the standard conference paper format. Accepted abstracts will be presented as interactive posters during the workshop.
