Call for Papers
RUNE Workshop is seeking research contributions at the intersection of robotics and ecology, especially including late-breaking, preliminary results, or well-researched positions. We welcome both ecologists who use robots and roboticists working in ecology. RUNE welcomes papers in areas such as:
Autonomous approaches to quantify ecosystem health and robustness
Understanding of high-dimensional, spatially distributed categorical observational data such as the distribution of species and habitats
Effective field deployments of autonomous systems to monitor ecological impacts
Challenging ecological issues or perspectives that can greatly benefit from the use of intelligent and autonomous systems
Datasets and benchmarks to evaluate ecosystem monitoring systems.
Submissions should be a 1-2 pages abstract, and should use the IEEE Conference Template. Abstracts submitted to the workshop will undergo a light peer review process, and the authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to present a poster during the workshop as well as a 5 minute lightning talk highlighting their key results.
Accepted abstracts will be published on the RUNE2024 website after the workshop.
