Overview; Solid Oxide Electrochemical Cell
SOFC is an electrochemical energy conversion device that produces electricity from chemical energy of fuels. Among various types of fuel cells, SOFC operates at the highest temperature and offers unique advantages including high efficiency, fuel flexibility, high-quality heat and modularity.
SOEC is an electrochemical device that converts electricity into chemical energy by splitting steam or other molecules. Operating at high temeprature, SOEC provides advantages such as high conversion efficiency, reversible operation with SOFC, compatibility with various feedstocks, and potential for large-scale hydrogen production.
1. Development of SOFC/PCFC cell fabrication processing
2. Development of materials for high-performance and high-stability
3. Development of catalyst materials and application technologies for various fuel uses and synthesis
