CONCURSOS REGIONALES LATINOAMERICANOS ICPC 2019 - FINAL CARIBEÑA

X Reunión Caribeña de Líderes ICPC

Sumario

1. Intercambio de experiencias en torno a la organización y realización de los concursos caribeños del año 2019. Preguntas para incentivar los intercambios:
   • ¿Fueron idóneas las fechas y sedes de los concursos? ¿Fueron prácticos los períodos de inscripciones de equipos para cada nivel de competición?
   • ¿Fue adecuada la estructura de competición? ¿Vale la pena realizar tres niveles de competición (locales-nacionales-regional) o bastará con dos (nacionales-regional)?
   • ¿Fueron justas las reglas de clasificación entre los distintos niveles de competición?
   • ¿Fue adecuada la realización de los concursos locales y nacionales sobre el Matcom Online Grader (MOG)?
   • ¿Fue adecuada la coordinación/gestión desde el Puesto de Mando en la UCI para los concursos locales y nacionales?
   • ¿Fue satisfactorio el trabajo del Comité de Jueces del Caribe (CJC) respecto a los conjuntos de problemas que fueron propuestos en los concursos locales y nacionales?
   • ¿Cómo lograr una mayor participación de estudiantes, entrenadores, organizadores, voluntarios, instituciones y países?
   • ¿Cómo reducir al mínimo la cantidad de equipos que se inscriben y luego se cancelan por diferentes motivos?
   • ¿Cómo aumentar el nivel de preparación y los resultados de los equipos participantes?
   • ¿Cómo lograr un mayor apoyo (por parte de instituciones, patrocinadores, etc.) para la organización de los eventos? ¿Cómo incrementar el valor y los beneficios para los patrocinadores y nuestro Movimiento ICPC?
   • ¿Cómo facilitar el proceso de inscripciones de equipos?
   • ¿Cómo lograr una mayor visibilidad de nuestros concursos?
2. Propuestas de estructura de los concursos caribeños (niveles de competición) en el ICPC Registration System para el año 2020.
3. Propuestas de fechas (incluyendo los períodos de inscripciones) y sedes para los concursos caribeños del año 2020.
4. Propuestas de reglas de clasificación entre los distintos niveles de competición del año 2020.
5. Propuestas de invitados por el Caribe a la Final Mundial 2020 en Moscú, Rusia.
6. Estrategias para aumentar la colaboración con el Movimiento IOI.
7. Otros asuntos generales que no catalogan en los puntos anteriores.

Summary

1. Exchange of experiences related to the organization of Caribbean contests in the year 2019. Questions to incentivize the exchanges:
   • Are the dates and sites of the contests ideal? Are the time periods for team inscriptions practical in each level of competition?
   • Is the structure of the competition adequate? Would it be best to organize three levels of competition (local-national-regional) or just two (national-regional)?
   • Are the classification rules fair among the different competition levels?
   • Was the organization of local and national contests on the Matcom Online Grader (MOG) adequate?
   • Was the organization and management of the UCI command center adequate for the organization of local and national contests?
   • Was the work of the Caribbean Judges Committee (CJC) satisfactory in regard to the problem sets proposed for the local and national contests?
   • How to accomplish a larger participation of students, coaches, organizers, volunteers, institutions and countries?
   • How to minimize the amount of teams that cancel their registrations for a variety of reasons?
   • How to improve the skill level and results of participating teams?
   • How to obtain more support (from sponsors and institutions) for the organization of events?
   • What would be the best way to increase the value and benefits for our sponsors and our ICPC movement?
   • How to facilitate the process of team registrations?
   • How to get more visibility for our contests?
2. Structural proposals for the Caribbean Contests (competition levels) at ICPC Registration System for the year 2020.
3. Prospective dates (including inscription time periods) and Caribbean contest sites for the year 2020.
