The study center as one of the reliable, accurate, accountable information centers, in the field of research and development of natural fibers and biological resources by prioritizing information, knowledge, and technology for individuals, communities, and the environment.
About CBNFB
Established on June 16, 2021, the Center for Study of Bioprospecting Natural Fiber and Bioresources (Pusdi BSA-SDH) at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran, was founded based on the Rector’s Decree of Universitas Padjadjaran Number: 1604/UN6.RKT/Kep/HK/2021. Commonly referred to as PUSDI BSA-SDH (CBNFB), Universitas Padjadjaran, the center is strategically located in the heart of Bandung, housed in the Center for Development of Ramie (CDR), Unpad Teaching Factory Building, 2nd Floor, Jl.Singaperbangsa No.2, Coblong, Kota Bandung.
CBNFB functions as a management unit that supports the Faculty's academic and research missions within the scope of its Departments and Study Programs. It serves as a collective of scientific expertise and knowledge, fostering both monodisciplinary and multidisciplinary academic research. The center is dedicated to advancing the field of bioprospecting natural fibers and bioresources through rigorous research, collaborative projects, and academic publications.
Through its research initiatives, conferences, and partnerships, CBNFB aims to be a leading network hub for scientific discussion and innovation in Indonesia and beyond. The center connects researchers, industry experts, and institutions globally, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and expertise to address pressing environmental and economic challenges.
CBNFB actively collaborates with various universities, research institutions, and industry partners to drive innovation and development in the field of natural fibers and bioresources. The center's interdisciplinary approach enables it to engage in a wide range of research projects and cooperative programs, contributing to national development goals and the diversification of textile raw materials from sustainable natural sources.
