Baby Items

We have many expecting mothers who cannot afford necessities to welcome home their newborns. We are asking for the following items for our clients:

  • Cribs/new mattresses (we are not able to accept used mattresses)
  • Diapers

  • Car seats & booster seats
  • Baby soap
  • Baby lotion
  • Baby powder
  • Vaseline
  • Baby wipes
  • Diaper rash ointment
  • Changing stations
  • Changing pads
  • High chairs
  • Infant bathtubs

  • Baby body wraps/slings

Hygiene Items

To better prepare our clients for a healthy lifestyle, we are asking for the following hygiene items:

  • Hand sanitizer
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes (all ages)
  • Hand soap
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Deodorant
  • Wash cloths
  • Baby wipes
  • Facial cleansing cloths

  • Paper towels

Children's Toys

Children of the International Center have toys to play with during the day. However, when they return home, most families have little-to-no toys. Some families have over eight children! We accept all new and gently used toys for all ages! This also includes gender-specific toys (costumes, play dresses, superhero capes, etc.)

Cleaning Supplies

We are always in need of cleaning supplies here at the International Center. We are in the most need of these items! In order to keep the Center as tidy as possible for our clients and guests, we are asking for the following items:

  • Liquid detergent
  • Bleach
  • Toilet bowl cleaner
  • Multi-purpose cleaner
  • Carpet stain cleaner/remover
  • Gently used/new vacuums (if gently used, please make sure they are in working condition)
  • Mops & mop buckets
  • Dust pans
  • Sponges
  • Dish/cleaning rags
  • Toilet scrub brushes
  • Trash bags
  • Hand soap
  • Disposable gloves
  • Disinfectant sprays/wipes
  • Paper towels
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Glass cleaner

School Supplies

In August, we host a drive specifically for the children who are enrolled in school. The following items are needed for our ESL (English as a Second Language) classes for their parents:

  • Composition notebooks
  • Pencils (with erasers)
  • Dry-erase markers
  • White board erasers
  • White board cleaner
  • Gently used/new adult-size backpacks

Automobile Care

The International Center of Kentucky is responsible for the maintenance of its vehicles. In order to provide quality transportation for our clients, we must keep our vehicles in good condition. We are in need of the following items:

  • Tire jack & tire iron
  • Tire sealant
  • Leather wipes
  • Car seats & booster seats
  • Carpet stain cleaner/remover
  • New/gently used car vacuums
  • Garbage bags
  • Windshield wiper fluid
  • Jumper cables
  • Tire pressure gauge
  • Antifreeze
  • Rain repellant

Small Kitchen Appliances & Household Items

Our clients are always in need of small kitchen appliances and household items. Please keep in mind plastic items are more safe than glass. Please do not donate used mattresses, we will not be able to use them. We are in need of the following items:

  • Eating utensils
  • Bowls & plates
  • Cups
  • High chairs
  • Mixing spoons
  • Pots & pans (all sizes)
  • Microwaves (please make sure gently used microwaves are in working condition)
  • Towels/wash cloths
  • Blankets
  • Bed sheets (all sizes)

Seasonal Items

Seasonal items are always needed at the Center. We are currently in need of the following items:

  • Umbrellas (all sizes)
  • Rain boots (all sizes)
  • Rain coats/ponchos (all sizes)
  • Fans (hand-held and floor models)
  • Hats (all sizes)
  • Scarves

Clothing

We accept all gently used/new styles and sizes of clothing. We are currently in need of men’s undershirts. Undershirts must be new. However, we cannot accept used undergarments, items with vulgar language or provocative images, and heavily torn clothing.

Shoes

Although we greatly appreciate clothing, we are also in great need of shoes of all sizes and seasons.

Farm Supplies

New Growth Farm & Market, offering locally grown produce by refugees participating in a beginner farmer program at the International Center's urban farm, is in need of the following items.

  • Seeds and transplants:

  • Gloves - rubber or gardening
