Data Analysis with Google Sheets and Excel is a course offered as part of the iCode Guru initiative to promote programming at scale. This course aims to help people start that journey by focusing on data analysis but with
minimal code
free tools, and
low effort
Participants do not need coding experience; they only need to be motivated to learn about data analysis!
Starts Monday Jan 25.
Monday - Friday, 7-8 PM Pakistan Standard Time.
To participate, please join iCode Guru and then the Slack channel for this course
Data is everywhere. This includes information you explore on the internet, the transactions you do at a local grocery store, when you buy something online, when you travel using a ride-sharing app, etc. In fact, all aspects of daily life generate data and this data can be used to make important decisions. For example, how many cars should be in a certain area of a city at a given time, which items a hospital should order to make sure they have sufficient supplies, etc.
Data analysis is the process of generating useful information and context by taking data (in all its forms) and then organizing, interpreting, and presenting it. This information and context can then be used for decision making, to educate, and to further human knowledge.
Intro to Google Sheets (navigate, import, organize, and understand your data)
Intermediate skills (modify data, run calculations, start answering questions)
Advanced skills (present, and share your findings; help others answer additional questions)
In addition to learning core skills in Google sheets, participants will also be taught how to create a profile for freelancing. Participants are encouraged to team-up and support each other in their freelancing journeys for data analysis.
