Sharnbasva University is the first private multi-disciplinary university in North Karnataka, offering students the opportunity to pursue higher education across diverse fields, including Engineering, Management, Science, Commerce, Architecture, Humanities, and Social Sciences. With a rich legacy of over 100 years, Sharnbasva University continues to serve the educational needs of the underprivileged sections of society, particularly in the educationally backward regions of Kalaburagi and its neighboring districts. Functioning under the esteemed Sharnabasaveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangha, the university upholds a strong tradition of promoting education for all. Notably, the Sangha established the first school exclusively for girls in 1934, pioneering access to education for women. This commitment to women's education remains steadfast, as evidenced by the establishment of North Karnataka’s first exclusive women’s engineering college—the second of its kind in Karnataka—which now operates as part of Sharnbasva University.

About Faculty of Engineering & Technology (Exclusively for Women)

With the vision and foresight of our President, Parama Poojya Dr. Sharanabaswappa Appa, Mahadasoha Peetadhipati of Sharanbasaveshwar Samsthan, Kalaburagi (Gulbarga), who has 50 years of experience in the field of education, our management is determined to advance the growing fields of engineering and nurture proficient graduates in this backward region of Karnataka state. Established in 2011, the Women's Engineering College was founded with the ambition to provide world-class engineering education to women in this underdeveloped part of Karnataka. Named "Godutai Engineering College for Women" in fond memory of Matoshree Godutai, the institution honors her by delivering exceptional higher education to women, empowering them to live independently with enlightenment and vocational skills. This is the only women's engineering college in the entire northern backward part of Karnataka state.

In 2017, Sharnbasva University was established, and Godutai Engineering College for Women was renamed the Faculty of Engineering & Technology (Exclusively for Women) (FETW). Since then, FETW has distinguished itself as a leading knowledge hub for technical minds. With bright girl students from across the country, capable faculty members, and up-to-date research infrastructure, FETW has been able to produce excellent women graduates for the service of the nation.

The faculty is home to over 1,200 girl students and more than 150 academic, administrative, and technical women staff. The Faculty of Engineering and Technology (Exclusively for Women) offers B. Tech. courses (Undergraduate Courses) in:

• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI and ML) – 60 Intake

• Civil Engineering (CV) - 60 Intake

• Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) - 150 Intake

• Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) - 60 Intake

• Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) - 120 Intake

At FETW, we strive to develop our students as well-rounded individuals. We ensure their participation in co-curricular activities on a regular basis, and the campus hosts student chapters of reputed international societies such as IEEE, IEI, IETE, and ISTE. About Lingaraj Appa Engineering College (LAEC)

Lingaraj Appa Engineering College (LAEC) was established in the year 2011, by Poojya Dr. Sharnbaswappa Appaji under the aegis of centenary celebrated Sharnbasveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha, Kalaburagi. The College is located in the serene atmosphere of Gornalli, Bidar in Karnataka. The College has obtained approval from AICTE and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi to offer Under Graduate courses of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering , Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering along with Post Graduates courses of MBA and M.Tech in CSE, VLSI Design & Embedded Systems and Machine Design, also the college offers Research centres for Ph.D. Scholars in ECE & MBA Streams. The Institution has high quality infrastructure and well equipped laboratories. It frequently organizes Workshops, FDPs and Seminars on advanced technical topics for the enhancement of the faculty and students. Hence, this college emerges with a unique objective of encouraging research and promoting innovation and creativity in all its undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The Campus sprawls across thirteen acres of peaceful and pollution free environment. The facilities provided in the campus include a Central Library with books of Engineering and Management Studies as required and recommended by the VTU curriculum in adequate number.
