If you want a safe, open-ear design that keeps your hearing protected while hunting in daylight, choose iClever OWS01; if you need long battery life, active noise isolation for tracking game in the woods, and rugged waterproofing, choose HAOYUYAN Earbuds.
• iClever OWS01: Its biggest strength is the open-ear air conduction design with a 74–85 dBA volume limit that protects young ears, but it lacks any form of noise cancellation or deep bass response. This pick is strictly for kids who need situational awareness and safety during outdoor activities.
• HAOYUYAN Earbuds: Its biggest strength is the massive 80-hour total playtime and IPX7 waterproof rating that survives sweat and rain, but its in-ear design blocks out ambient sound which can be risky in some hunting scenarios. This pick is ideal for adults or older teens seeking immersive audio for sports or intense outdoor work.
The iClever OWS01 is built on a philosophy of safety first. It utilizes an open-ear air conduction technology rather than traditional drivers that plug into the ear canal. This design choice is critical for anyone concerned about hearing health, especially when children are involved. The device features a specific volume limitation between 74 and 85 dBA, a hard cap designed to prevent hearing damage over long listening sessions. If you are looking for headphones for hunting or other outdoor pursuits where awareness of the environment is non-negotiable, this feature alone makes it a standout option for younger users. You cannot miss what is happening around you because the sound waves travel through the air directly to the eardrum without creating a seal.
Comfort is another pillar of this product, engineered specifically for small heads. Weighing just 0.8 oz, these headphones rely on a soft TPE material that feels gentle against delicate skin. The back-hanging portion contains memory steel wire that allows for a full 360-degree bend without deforming. This flexibility means the headphones can adapt to various head sizes and shapes, ensuring they stay secure during movement without squeezing or causing pain. The ergonomic three-point pressure dispersion system further ensures that weight is spread out rather than concentrated on one spot, making them suitable for all-day wear at school, on a bus, or while walking through a field.

However, this product is not for everyone. If you are an adult looking for high-fidelity music with deep, thumping bass, you will find the audio profile here lacking. While it boasts 14.2mm dynamic drivers and Dynamic Range Control technology to enhance clarity, the open design inherently sacrifices the low-end punch that sealed earbuds provide. Furthermore, there is no noise control mechanism listed; the headphones do not actively cancel environmental noise. They also lack the water resistance ratings found in dedicated sports gear. If your primary use case involves heavy rain, mud, or intense physical exertion where sweat is guaranteed, these are likely too fragile for the job. They are best suited for casual listening, studying, or light outdoor supervision where the user needs to remain alert to their surroundings.
In stark contrast, the HAOYUYAN BX17 earbuds are engineered for performance and endurance. These are true in-ear devices that utilize silicone tips in three different sizes to create a secure, personalized fit. The design includes flexible ear hooks that lock the buds in place, making them exceptionally stable during vigorous activity. This is the go-to choice for someone who needs headphones for hunting that can handle the elements without failing. With an IPX7 waterproof rating, these earbuds can withstand submersion up to one meter for 30 minutes, offering robust protection against heavy rain, mud splashes, and intense sweat. Whether you are running through a downpour or trekking through a wet forest, the build quality suggests they will survive conditions that would destroy standard consumer electronics.
The battery life on these units is arguably their most compelling feature. You get 15 hours of continuous playback on a single charge from the earbuds themselves, and the included charging case extends that total playtime to a staggering 80 hours. This eliminates the anxiety of running out of power mid-session, a common issue with smaller battery packs. The case itself features dual LED screens that display the precise remaining battery percentage, so you always know exactly how much energy is left before you head out. For a hunter or a sports enthusiast who spends days away from a power source, this level of reliability is invaluable. Additionally, the Bluetooth 5.3 connection offers a stable link up to 33 feet, ensuring you won't lose signal as you move through dense terrain.
Audio-wise, these earbuds lean towards immersion. Equipped with 14.3mm dynamic drivers and advanced acoustic tuning, they deliver powerful bass and crisp highs that fully engage the listener. The in-ear design provides passive noise isolation, blocking out wind and background chatter to focus entirely on the audio content. However, this isolation comes with a trade-off: you cannot hear approaching footsteps or wildlife unless you deliberately take one bud out. They also include Environmental Noise Cancellation for calls, using a built-in microphone to filter out wind noise during conversations, which is excellent for clearing up communication in noisy environments. The physical button controls are tactile and easy to operate even with gloves or sweaty hands, adding to their utility in harsh conditions.

After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases for both devices, I recommend the HAOYUYAN Earbuds for anyone serious about hunting or outdoor sports. While the iClever OWS01 is an excellent tool for keeping children safe and aware, it simply does not have the ruggedness or battery capacity required for extended time in the wild. The HAOYUYAN model offers the necessary IPX7 waterproofing to survive the elements and an 80-hour battery life that ensures you never miss a moment due to a dead charge. For the specific purpose of finding the best bone conduction headphones for hunting, the iClever fits that description technically, but for general headphones for hunting where reliability and audio quality are paramount, the HAOYUYAN is the superior choice. If you need with mic in ear headphones for hunting that can handle rain and last for days, this is the clear winner.
Yes, the HAOYUYAN Earbuds have an IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning they can handle heavy rain and even accidental submersion in water, whereas the iClever OWS01 lacks specific water resistance ratings.
No, the iClever OWS01 uses open-ear air conduction technology, which allows ambient sound to pass through naturally, while the HAOYUYAN Earbuds use an in-ear design that provides passive noise isolation.
The HAOYUYAN Earbuds offer significantly longer battery life with a total of 80 hours including the charging case, compared to the standard daily usage limits typically associated with the iClever OWS01.
