ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Mathematics is one of the departments functioning from the inception of Periyar University. The Department offers programmes of study and research leading to M.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees and is on a relentless march towards academic excellence. Based on the contributions towards research, UGC has granted SAP, DST has granted FIST and NBHM granted library grant to this department. The Department conducts various research activities in the areas of Algebra, Differential and Difference Equations, Fuzzy Differential Equations, Graph Theory and Mathematical Biology.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Graph Theory play a vital role in many real-life situations like designing fault-tolerant communication networks, multiprocessor computer systems, error correcting codes, drug designs etc. Also graphs may be constructible from smaller and simpler constituents by basic graph operations with respect to various products, where the properties of the constituents determine the properties of the composite graph. The main objective of the conference is to give an exposure to the young researchers to the recent developments in the various problems / conjectures in Graph Theory and related areas through series of lectures by experts in this area.. Conference covers invited lectures and paper presentation which includes best paper award (up to 5 participants).
