In order to understand what ICFECI is about, one must first know about Dan James, its founder.

Dan has a richly varied experience in diverse legal fields backed by excellent credentials and certifications. He holds a BS in Criminal Justice, is a licensed private investigator, a Certified Fraud Examiner and is certified in cell phone forensic examinations and digital investigations. A one time former Chief Investigator, Computer Forensic Examiner and Certified Fraud Examiner for the Office of the Federal Public Defender, Northern District of Texas. Dan has amassed a wealth of experience while setting benchmarks for modern forensics involving computers and digital data. His landmark contributions include setting up a computer forensic lab for the Federal Public Defender, Northern District of Texas, hosting eDiscovery, training courses and training to interns from the FPD offices.
