ICELISH — PRIVACY POLICY

1. SUMMARY

Icelish does not require an account. There is no sign-up, login, email or password. Your learning progress — lessons, XP, level and streak — is stored only on your own device. We have no access to it, and it is never kept on a server.

The app does use a small number of third-party services for advertising, crash reporting and subscription validation, each explained below. We do not sell your personal data.

2. DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

The following information stays only on your phone and is never sent to any server:

- Completed lessons and lesson progress

- XP, level and streak

- Lives status

- App preferences (language, sound and vibration settings)

If you delete the app or clear its data, this information is removed completely. You can also reset it any time from within the app.

3. DATA PROCESSED BY THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

3.1 Google AdMob — Advertising

The free version of Icelish shows ads. To serve and measure them, AdMob processes your Advertising ID, device and operating-system details, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and your ad interactions. You can reset your Advertising ID in your device settings. Icelish PRO subscribers see no ads.

3.2 Ad Consent for European Users

Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown Google's consent screen (UMP) on first launch, where you choose whether to receive personalized ads. You can change this preference later in the app settings.

3.3 Firebase Crashlytics — Crash Reporting

If the app closes unexpectedly, an automatic crash report is created so we can fix the problem. It contains your device model, operating-system version, app version, the technical state at the moment of the crash, and a randomly generated installation identifier. It does not include your name, email or lesson content.

3.4 RevenueCat — Subscription Validation

If you purchase Icelish PRO, RevenueCat is used to confirm that your subscription is valid. It processes the product purchased, the transaction date, subscription status, your country, and an anonymous user identifier generated for your device. This identifier does not identify you in real life.

3.5 Pronunciation Practice and Microphone

Some exercises request microphone access to evaluate the word you say. The microphone activates only on that exercise screen and only when you start it — there is no background listening. Converting your speech to text is handled by your device's own operating-system speech-recognition service. Depending on your device settings, this may run on the device or may send your audio to Google's servers for processing, in which case Google's privacy policy applies. Icelish does not store, copy or send your audio recording to its own servers. When the exercise ends, the recording is discarded. You may decline this permission; only the pronunciation exercises are disabled, and the rest of the app works normally.

3.6 Google Play

All payments are handled entirely by Google Play. We never have access to your card, name or billing details.

4. PERMISSIONS

Internet — to load ads and validate your subscription.

Advertising ID (AD_ID) — to show ads.

Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) — only for pronunciation exercises, and only when you start them. This permission is optional; if you decline it, only pronunciation practice is disabled.

Icelish does not request access to your contacts, location, photos, files or camera, and it does not send notifications.

5. DATA RETENTION

Data on your device stays until you delete it; we hold no copy. Advertising and crash-report data are subject to the providers' own retention periods. Subscription records are kept for as long as legal and accounting obligations require.

6. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on where you live (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and similar laws), you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and object to the processing of your data.

Because we do not hold any account or personal record of you, there is no profile for us to delete. You can remove all data on your device instantly by deleting the app or clearing its data.

For requests concerning data held by the third-party services above, email us at moondaysoftware@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

7. DATA SECURITY

All communication between the app and third-party services uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Because your learning data never leaves your device, it is not exposed to interception over the network. That said, no method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Icelish is intended for users aged 13 and above; our audience is teenagers and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. In some European Union countries this threshold may be as high as 16, in which case parental consent is required. If you believe a child's data has been processed, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

The service providers we use may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. These transfers take place under legal mechanisms such as the providers' Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. CONTENT AND COPYRIGHT

Icelish is a language-learning app. Its educational content consists of material we create ourselves and licensed material. If you believe any content infringes your rights, email moondaysoftware@gmail.com with a description of the work, its location in the app, your contact details, and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them. Valid requests are reviewed within 7 business days and the content is removed.

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes we will notify you within the app and update the "Last Updated" date above.
