Icelandic language classes have been offered during the academic year from September through May. Typically our instructor has been s a volunteer native Icelandic speaker. Classes were originally in person and then during COVID transitioned to the Zoom format. Our last classes were held in 2022. Due to the number of online offerings in recent years, we have been suggesting those interested in Icelandic language classes consider such resources as:
"Íslenska fyrir alla" which can be found at http://tungumalatorg.is/ifa/
Icelandic National League of the United States (INLUS) https://inlus.org/travel-culture/icelandic-language/
Icelandic Canadian Club of British Columbia (ICCBC) https://www.icelandicclubbc.ca/
Icelandic Canadian Cllub of Toronto (ICCT) https://www.icct.info/language-classes
Icelandic Online (University of Iceland) https://icelandiconline.com/
Please join Tala Íslensku Closed Facebook Group , Icelandic Hekla Club Facebook Page or send an email info@heklaclub.org to keep up with Icelandic language related items.
As a result of the changes brought about by COVID, we have not been offering this group. We suggest visiting INLNA Reads as an alternative https://inlofna.org/inlna-reads
Our local Nordic Reads and Views social media may be found at https://www.facebook.com/nordicreads/ or by email at info@heklaclub.org.
