Why a Van?
Money? Right now in the UK (near London where I live) it costs approx £800+ each month to pay to rent a small flat. That is £9600 a year to just have somewhere to sleep. (and that isn't even somewhere nice).
I don't pay that much because I rent just a room and it limits my time that I can spend streaming/working on my projects. It has always been a wild idea of mine to buy a van and convert it into a place to sleep and work. I also spend my time between 3 places and having a van would be very suitable for my needs.
It would cost anywhere from £3500 for a budget build up-to and exceeding £10,000 for something pretty epic. I am going to set a target of £6,000; should provide enough for a pretty decent build!

Having a van won't limit me to any particular place. I could find somewhere beautiful to park-up and spend the night, and if I don't like it... drive somewhere else!
Also, with Internet Technology moving forward so much I can find great internet and stream from the van wherever I feel like at the time. This means not only great internet, but a view and somewhere remote where my loud frantic shouting at my viewers won't disturb other people.
Yes! I can finally scream at the game without having concern for volume.
Design
Design
The design will be important. I need to start with a van with a high ceiling as I am a very tall person over 6'4" in height. Secondly, I want to make something that is an open space. I don't want it to feel like I am trapped in a claustrophobic tight space. So I will be designing the bed and other parts to fold in/out to open up an create more space.
The main part of the build that is very important is the desk! I will be creating a lovely space to sit and stream. This will include folding monitors, a place to hook-up my laptop and it should all be comfortable and easy to use.
When?
When?
Now, or well at least when I can afford it. I am working full-time right now and looking for support to help make this happen. I still need somewhere to live while I am working on the build and between streaming and working I have not got that much free-time, but I will make it happen when I start getting the funds.
I plan to create a van-build series on the channel to keep you all updated once I get the van. It's going to be so epic!
