National Institute of Technology Meghalaya & St. Anthony's College, Shillong
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya was established in 2010 under the NIT Act 2007 as an institute of National importance and is one among the thirty-one NITs in India. NIT Meghalaya has featured within top 100 ranked engineering institutes of the nation consistently in National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF), since its inception in 2016.

1) To impart quality education in the fields of Engineering, Science and Technology at Undergraduate as well as Postgraduate levels with special attention to encourage innovation and creativity in these fields in a clean and healthy environment.
2) To engage in creation of knowledge and development of technologies through effective research programs
St. Anthony's College, Shillong, Meghalaya. India is an educational institution of the Catholic Church, belonging to and managed by the Salesians of Don Bosco Educational Society (Registered under the society's act of 1890: No: 227/91 of 199). St. Anthony's College, Shillong, is affiliated with North Eastern Hill University; starting from very humble origins in 1934, it has grown into a multi-faceted, multi-faculty institution. The College has been reaccredited with an "A" grade by NAAC in 2088 with a CGPA of 3.60/4.0, making the college the highest graded in the East and North East of the Country.

To reach Shillong by air, one has to take a flight to Gopinath Bordoloi Airport, Guwahati, Assam. From there, one can reach Shillong in 3 hours by hiring a shared taxi.
The nearest railway station is in Guwahati. From the railway station, one can travel by bus or shared taxi. It takes about 3 hours to reach Shillong.
After reaching Shillong, one can hire a local taxi to reach the NITM campus at Bijni Complex. The campus is located in a multi-cultural locality named Laitumkhrah near the Health Complex.
