Introduction and Objectives

The domain of construction should be a space capable of synthesizing the results of scientific research and translating them into clear and tangible idea relevant to the practical fields.

This requires an awareness of all operators involved in the domain. In this context, the Department of Civil Engineering in collaboration with the three research laboratories : Laboratory of Civil Engineering Research, Laboratory of Structure Rehabilitation and Materials, Laboratory of Water Resources, Soil and Environment at Laghouat university aim by organizing the second international conference on Civil Engineering, to initiate a dynamic acting in this direction.

Indeed, it is evident from a careful analysis of the domain situation that the major preoccupations such those related to :

1. Reuse of local materials

2. Durability and rehabilitation of structures

3. Computing methods

constitute recent topics of research which largely investigated by several specialized teams hence the conference intends to serve as a platform for overview and reflection and even can provide practical answers to the many questions raised by the implied actors.

The quoted research axes will be developed by the intervening parties from versatile horizons as large as possible during the second international conference of civil engineering which will be held at the University of Laghouat during 2021.
