About ICCCIoT 2020

The primary goal of the "International Conference on Computer Communication and Internet of Things (ICCCIoT 2020)" is to present state-of-the-art scientific results, encourage academic and industrial interaction, and to promote collaborative research activities in Computer Communication, Internet of Things and related fields, involving scientists, engineers, professionals, researchers and students across the globe. The conference will take place at the Tripura University (A Central University), Agartala, Tripura, India from 03-04 February, 2020. The conference is financially sponsored by North Eastern Council, Government of India.

About TRIPURA UNIVERSITY

The inception of Tripura University can be traced back to the establishment of UGC recognition Post Graduate Centre of the University of Calcutta at Maharaja Bir Bikram College in the year 1976. In 1987, Tripura University formally came to being in a State University on October 2nd. In the year 2007 it was converted to Central University. The University is the only University by act of the Parliament in the State of Tripura. It is accredited with ‘B’ grade by NAAC. Presently it has 7 engineering PG courses of which 3 are affiliated by the AICTE. Moreover, the PG programmes of Dept of MBA and Pharmacy are also AICTE affiliated courses.

About the DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The vision of the department is to become a Centre of Excellence and contribute to the society through excellence in scientific and knowledge-based education utilizing the potential of Information Technology with a deep passion for wisdom, culture and values. To produce quality IT professionals capable of adapting to the changing environment and contribute to the growth of the Nation. After all, in this age of Digital India, Smart phones and Cities all around, cloud computing, big data analytics we are indispensable part of everybody’s day to day life. Initially on inception the department was running the 3 years Bachelor in Computer Applications (BCA) and the AICTE affiliated 3-year Master in Computer Application (MCA). The undergraduate (UG) program of BCA was discontinued from 2015 and the last batch of those UG students passed out in 2018. This year the department has started the 2-year M. Tech in Information technology (IT) programme from the 2019-20 session. The Department has been catering to the need of the University for the mandatory Computer Skills for all the PG programmes.
