About

Surendranath College is a 140-year-old heritage institution, named after its founder Sir Surendranath Banerjea, a noted social reformer and educationist. Keeping with the legacy of its founder, the College is committed to imparting, sustaining, and fostering holistic and quality education to students from every stratum of society. The Chemistry Department is one of the oldest departments of this college. It is an important and quite popular Department with a substantial number of students. This heritage Department has so far produced a galaxy of famous alumni to be proud of.

 After successful conduction of ICBS-2020 (International Speaker-4, Total participants->500) and 'Innovation in Science Education-2021' (online mode, International Speaker-3, Total participants->500), ICBS-2023 (International Speaker-4, Total participants->500), ICBS-2024 (International Speaker-3, Total participants->450), ICBS-2025 (International Speaker-3, Total participants->500) (we are geared up again to organize another One-day International Seminar entitled “Innovation, Expansion, Impacts, and Challenges in Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICBS-2026)” which is scheduled to be held at Surendranath College Auditorium, Kolkata, West Bengal, India on December 20, Saturday,  2025. It will definitely be a forum to bring researchers, academicians and industry professionals to share exchange knowledge and research contribution in the evolving technologies related to Chemical and Biological applications.

Call for Abstract of Poster Presentation 

Abstracts (max. 300 words, Times New Roman, 12pt, editable MS Word) are invited from the faculties, research scholars, and postdoctoral researchers. The poster should be in a single portrait format with dimensions 2ft x 3ft. 

The best poster will be awarded separately by Indian Photobiology Society, Again by Bongio Bijyan Prosar Moncha .......

• Abstract (MS Word format) should be uploaded when filling out the Registration Form.

•  Last date for abstract submission is 11th December, 2025.  

•  The Acceptance Letter for the Participants who have submitted Abstracts will be sent (within 15/12/25). If you have any queries, please contact us.

• The Participants who have submitted an Abstract for Poster Presentation, are requested to check their E-mail.

• Portrait Size should be of-Portrait Size [2 feet(width) X 3 feet (height)]

• Registration only for participation:  Link for the Registration 

• Abstract book will be published with ISBN 978-93-92092-71-8 and Full paper will be called for book chapter to Edited book by International publisher with ISBN and DOI number
