Objectives of IC2S2TD-2026
IC2S2TD-2026 aims to pave the key role of Chemistry pathway toward the sustainable development and technology among different research areas of chemical sciences. The conference will bring together Indian and International research communities working in Chemical Sciences to explore novel methodologies for sustainable development and technologies. The main objective of this conference is to provide a platform to bring together leading professors, scientists, industrial researchers and research scholars to exchange the recent developments in chemical, materials, biological sciences and related interdisciplinary research areas. This conference will cover three main themes including Chemical Sciences (Inorganic, Organic, Physical and Analytical Chemistry), Materials Sciences (biomaterials, nanomaterials, semiconductors, organic and quantum materials) and interdisciplinary research areas, emphasising their significant applications in Energy, Sustainable Environment, Food safety and Global healthcare. The conference will also foster cooperation among organizations and researchers involved in the merging fields and will provide in-depth technical presentations with abundant opportunities for individual discussions with the presenters. Keynote speakers will provide the recent advances in each theme. Invited speakers will highlight the progress and advances on each theme. These themes and in-depth discussions will offer to establish new collaborations. Further, this conference includes oral presentations of all areas of chemical and interdisciplinary science

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) was established in 1961 as one of the Regional Engineering Colleges for imparting technical education. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, the Central Government on the advice of the University Grants Commission, has declared the Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering & Technology (SVRCET), Surat to Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat with status of “Deemed University” with effect from 4th December 2002. The Institute has been granted the status of ‘Institute of National Importance’ w.e.f. 15th August, 2007. At present, the Institute is offering 11 UG Programmes, 21 PG Programmes, and Five Years Integrated M.Sc (Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics) and B.Tech + MBA Programmes including doctoral programme in all above branches. The SVNIT has excelled tremendously in various research areas in Applied Sciences and Engineering disciplines during the last ten years, and received prestigious awards and grants from various Government bodies. The Institute has received huge grants for research under the prestigious schemes of DST, BRNS, DRDO, CSIR, UGC-DAE, GUJCOST and GSBTM.
About Department of Chemistry
Department of Chemistry is one of the most prominent departments in S. V. National Institute of Technology, Surat, Gujrat, India, started in 1961-62 under the supervision of dedicated faculty members. It offers Five Years Integrated MSc in Chemistry, B.Tech in Industrial Chemistry and PhD programs. The academic achievements of the department are well reflected by numerous research papers published in various reputed International Journals and more than 65 PhD’s produced covering a wide spectrum of the chemical sciences. The Department has been the proud recipient of individual research projects sponsored by various funding agencies including DST, CSIR, BRNS, DST-FIST, DRDO, UGC-DAE and GUJCOST. The department has already organized various Staff Short Term Training Programs (STTP), National and International Conferences. The department has produced eminent chemists, Prime Minister's Research Fellow, NET and GATE qualified candidates, in addition to the generation of trained human resources in different spheres of chemical sciences. Further, several international fellowships have been received by the students of Chemistry Department.
