Constitution - Fixing the mess
As of now, Sierra's constitution is in disrepair. There are constant messy references to water, there is no proper impeachment process, and there are passages which appear to be against gay marriage. In more recent years, the lack of concrete restrictions on the issuance Executive Orders has proven to be a major issue, as well as judiciary elections. Senator Ibney recognizes that Sierra's constitution is severely flawed and has a plan to fix it.
Sierra has been operating in violation of the constitution for years now, having moved to a unicameral system. Rather than force a bicameral system, Ibney has submitted a bill to amend Article 4 of the constitution so as to conform to our current system. On a similar vein, Ibney also authored an amendment to remove judiciary elections, since Sierra is no longer using them.
In accordance with an amendment to allow impeachment of public officials, Ibney also authored an amendment to remove the portions about recall in the constitution.
Unfortunately, drafting amendments is only a small portion of the battle. The majority of the battle is fighting for an assembly that will ratify the amendments and a cooperative Governor. As we have seen in the case of Governor ZeroOverZero101, the Governor cannot always be counted on. Ibney needs your vote to fix our broken and messy constitution.
