How to reach Coimbra:
Coimbra is served by two international airports: Lisboa (LIS) and Porto (OPO). Connection time to Coimbra is roughly the same.
Train:
1) LIS – Arrivals at Lisboa may take the metro (~8 min ride, ~2 €) or a taxi (~7 €, 5 min ride) to the train station Oriente. From here take a long-distance train (“Alfa Pendular” or “Intercidades”) to Coimbra. Trains (20-24 €) depart every hour in average (see timetable at: https://www.cp.pt/passageiros/en/train-times ) and take less than two hours to reach Coimbra-B station.
2) OPO – Arrivals at Porto may take the metro (~37 min ride, ~2 €) or a taxi (~25 €, 20 min ride) to the train station Campanhã. From here take a long-distance train (“Alfa Pendular” or “Intercidades”) to Coimbra. Trains (14-17 €) depart approximately every 45 min (see timetable at https://www.cp.pt/passageiros/en/train-times) and take one hour to reach Coimbra-B station.
