Old Ottawa East or just Ottawa East is a neighbourhood in Capital Ward in central Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located south of Nicholas Street and between the Rideau Canal and the Rideau River, with Avenue Road marking the southern border 

This neighbourhood is one of the oldest communities in Ottawa. The area was originally a village that was named after Bradish Billing, who settled in the area in 1812. The bridge “Billings Bridge” was built in 1830, and later remodeled in 1916 to the structure that exists today. The neighbourhood also includes Alta Vista, which was named for the elevation in the neighbourhood that sits on the rise above the Rideau River valley. 

Carleton University is an English-language public research university in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1942 as Carleton College, the institution originally operated as a private, non-denominational evening college to serve returning World War II veterans

Sunnyside Music School embraces the past, present, and future; many of the instructors have continued to teach at the Bank St. location over the past 25 years. Brewer Park Pond is an artificial pond located in Brewer Park in the neighbourhood of Old Ottawa South in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. 

Brewer Park Splash Pad

This well-loved branch is located on a busy stretch of Bank Street in the heart of a very active and community-spirited residential area. Overlooking the Rideau Canal, it features a lovely flower garden in the summer and easy access to skating in the winter. The busy children's department features a full range of programs. This branch has Friends of the Ottawa Public Library Association (FOPLA) used books sales. 

Brewer Pool boasts a 25 metre, six lane pool with a sauna. There is a small lounge with kitchen amenities available for rent.

The arena has one ice surface and the area is home to the outdoor ice oval in winter, weather permitting.
