The Interprovincial Baseball Alliance for University Competitions (IBAUC) is an independent, cooperative stewardship body for university baseball in Canada.

We maintain Canadian University baseball history, coordinate national championship competition, and advocate for student athletes.

Our Mission:

IBAUC exists to promote and support university baseball in Canada. Through cooperation among conferences, institutions, coaches, administrators, officials, and other stakeholders, IBAUC works to strengthen opportunities for student-athletes, preserve the history and traditions of Canadian university baseball, and ensure the continued growth and success of university baseball competitions across the country.

Who We Are:

IBAUC is an independent steering committee — not a league, conference, governing body, or membership association. It acts as a coordinating and custodial organization for matters entrusted to it, including the administration of the Canadian National University Championship, while respecting the autonomy of the institutions, conferences, and leagues it works alongside.

Recognizing the importance of a national championship pathway for student-athletes and the value of collaboration among diverse organizations and regions, IBAUC serves as an independent alliance of baseball leaders dedicated to the advancement and long-term sustainability of Canadian university baseball.

What We Do:

Promote and advance university baseball in Canada
Facilitate cooperation among conferences, institutions, leagues, coaches, administrators, officials, and other stakeholders
Support, coordinate, and steward Canadian university baseball competitions, including the Canadian National University Championship
Preserve and promote the history, traditions, records, and achievements of the sport
Recognize excellence through awards, honours, rankings, and communications
Develop partnerships that contribute to the growth and sustainability of Canadian university baseball

Steering Committee

A National Coordinator, 5 regional representatives, and a number of key Sr. Advisors set direction and coordinate the Canadian National University Championship.

Coast to Coast

Our goal is regional representation that spans the entire country including Atlantic, Québec, Ontario East, Ontario West, and Western Canada.

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is IBAUC's principal decision-making body, made up of a National Coordinator, regional representatives who liaise between IBAUC and stakeholders in their region, and Senior Advisors who guide governance and strategy.

The Canadian National University Championship

The Canadian National University Championship (CNUC) is the principal national competition supported by IBAUC. The Steering Committee acts as coordinating team for the Championship, working to ensure its continuity, integrity, growth, and national prominence. IBAUC sets qualification standards, hosting standards, and competition formats, and partners with provincial, national, and international organizations to engance the experience of student-athlete baseball competition in Canada.
