Criteria to be eligible:
- Reside legally in Sweden, which means being registered in the Swedish tax agency (Skatteverket) and have a personal number (personnummer).
- Be over 16 years old
- You lack the basic knowledge of the Swedish language (it is okay to have little prior Swedish knowledge).
SIFA offers their enrolled students the possibility to audit courses in Swedish at KTH as well as the chance to participate in a mentorship program in cooperation with Sveriges Ingenjörer. These possibilities only happen after one is done with the SFI levels.
"Arkitektsvenska" is an online course aimed at foreign architects who want to improve their Swedish language skills within the field of architecture. The course focuses on industry-specific terminology and communication, which facilitates professional life in Sweden. It includes lectures, exercises, and practical tasks.
There are also local Meetup groups to practise the language.

Skanska has developed a list of words related to the Construction industry. There is also a book called Arkitekturtermer to learn terminology in Swedish. Please check our 'Courses & Education' section for more info. Språkcafe (language café) at libraries, churches, universities etc.
Arkitektens handbok (Architect's handbook)
The architect's handbook is a compilation of the basic facts that the architect and the construction need. It is systematized and illustrated in a way that is easy to handle and it contains a rich index of conceptual explanations.
