iAspire (internet-based Arts: Successful Pedagogy through Integration, Research and E-learning) began in 2018-19 with a $1.7M Student Support and Academic Enrichment grant to Windsor Unified School District, supporting their new strategic plan for the arts. The iASPIRE grant provided nearly 500 iPads with arts software as well as books, equipment, materials and supplies that supported standards-based arts learning. The grant also provided teacher professional learning in the arts paired with an arts/ELA/SLA integrated curriculum and other resources to support classroom implementation.
In 2020, iAspire expands to include educators from elementary schools throughout Sonoma County as well as museum educators. The iAspire Summit 2020 will be a virtual event on July 27 and 28. Please note that since their tracks and resources will be somewhat different, Windsor education will be designated "Windsor" and other educators from the county will be designated by the abbreviation "SoCo."
