Background

About Me:

I was born with Cerebral Palsy, a leg disability that impacts my balance, gait, and ability to walk. Throughout my life, I have been blessed to be accommodated both physically and socially. Each of these have been vitally important to my success both in education and life. Emporia State has been outstanding in combining these during my time as a student.

Purpose (Disclaimer)

My intent in presenting my site is two-fold. Firstly, I wish to raise awareness to a component of inclusion that I feel hasn't been adequately discussed. Secondly, I wish to promote meaningful dialogue between the able-bodied and disabled communities alike in all settings. It is my hope that this dialogue will do much to alleviate any discomfort in these interactions, replacing it with empathy and greater understanding. This is done to encourage your interaction with individuals such as myself, to choose understanding and empathy, over fear and uncertainty.
