At around age 10 I felt the call of the drum from deep inside my soul, and from that moment on I was hooked for life. I was influenced by my uncle Bob Weir, who is a drummer. I started playing drums and taught myself drumming by playing to my favorite records and tapes of alternative music of the 1990s, with Jimmy Chamberlin from the Smashing Pumpkins being one of my biggest influences. Steven Perkins, Manu Katché, and Stewart Cobland's groves are fused to my soul. Jazz drummers like Joe Jones, Art Blakey, Buddy Rich, and Gene Krupa are legends. Lisa Blackman, Steve Smith, and Vinnie Colaiuta are current favorites.
Over the past 30 years, I have performed with many talented musicians in a variety of bands with styles ranging across the musical spectrum.
My first love in life was the music of film. The composers who are my biggest influences are John Williams, James Horner, John Barry, Alan Silvestri, Bernard Herrmann, Gustav Holst and Danny Elfman.
I have always loved to zone in time, space, and tone. I have been self-producing music in various styles for many years. I play the organs, piano, synthesizers, drums and various world percussion.
I have created original music for feature documentary films, short narrative films, Public Service Announcements, and multimedia projects.
