In Congress, Democrats have the majority in the Senate now that Raphael Warnock of Georgia has been reelected in the Georgia Senate runoff. And recently, Senator Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, is no longer part of the Democratic Party, turning into an independent, meaning that more challenges could be imminent to Biden's political agenda. Meanwhile, Republicans have the majority in the House, meaning that Kevin McCarthy is on key to being Speaker of the House, while current Speaker Nancy Pelosi is stepping down from House Democrats' leadership, placing Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, a Democrat from New York, as the new House Democrats leader. Hakeem Jeffries will be the first African-American to lead a political party in Congress. Since Democrats have the Senate and Republicans have the House, there is a possibility that President Biden has to come up with something bipartisan for the House to pass to the Senate. Progressive Democrats, such as AOC of New York and Bernie Sanders of Vermont, might disagree with the bipartisan legislation, while moderate Republicans such as Mitt Romney of Utah and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska might agree with said legislation. But Republicans on the far-right, such as Ted Cruz of Texas and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, might disagree with any progressive legislation implemented. But for the record, the Biden Administration is an embarrassment in my opinion, because of Kamala Harris's approval rating, and Biden's overconfident charisma throughout his term, it is why that most Democrats, including me as a left-leaning independent, there should be another Democrat who should be President in 2024. Speaking of 2024, it is likely that Trump has a competition in the Republican primary, and that is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Some Republicans prefer DeSantis over Trump, and other prefer Trump over DeSantis. I'm not very clear on what DeSantis's views are on America, but I can assume that they are on the far-right, which is virtually reminiscent of Trump's views on America. But the one thing they both agree on is that they think America is in shambles because of Biden, and I hate to admit it, but I think the same as well. From inflation, to the border crisis, it's been a rough time even after COVID.
